Repair and Repainting of Garage Doors and Frames

Despite the gloomy predictions of a month of continuous rain, the weather is changeable and there are plenty of dry spells. Therefore our long expected project to re-paint the garages is starting!!

Leaseholders should have had a letter asking them to provide painters with keys to the garages. This is really needed as the work cannot be completed unless the doors to the garages are not open. We may be forced to use locksmiths and send the bill to the leaseholder.

Board of Directors decided to pay for the cost of painting, even though the lease specifies this as a responsibility of a leaseholder. So if you have, or your tenant have a key, kindly contact Jason Forster on 07941877669 to give him the key for the duration of work - it should take couple of days only, and hopefully cause no great inconvenience.

Winnals Park development in 1970

We know that the development of Winnals Park has been concluded prematurely. For example, Kipling Court, last block to be completed, had the balconies planned according to the original planning permission (information courtesy of Robert Long). There is a story circulating around some residents, that the Estate was meant to have at least one more block built in the area that ended up being the rubbish / garages area.

This idea has been periodically revisited by the Board of Directors, last time in 2018, but has never got off the ground.

So when I came across the company called Winnals Park Developments Limited in the archives of Company House, My curiosity was peaked. The company was created under number 00739301 in 1970, but was dissolved without any activity and without filing any accounts.

Was it possibly the echo of the abandoned attempt to continue with developing Winnals Park.
